Job Description and Duties:
Provide enterprise application architecture leadership, consulting services and stewardship for application domain or architecture while contributing to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth. Understand Nissan’s global/regional strategic and tactical business plans, strategies, objectives, and priorities as they link to IS application architecture framework and standards, as well as document/analyze current architectures for responsible areas to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
In addition, this position provides thought leadership in the evaluation, selection, deployment, and support of new technologies, such as SharePoint and K2, which enable enterprise-wide collaboration, document management, electronic forms and workflow, and imaging. This position requires a broad technical background along with good interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and teaching/mentoring. Person must be able to work well with other EA staff members and develop strong relationships with I.S. domain architects and business end-users.
This candidate must also possess a broad background and experience in enterprise SharePoint deployments. Skills must range from very technical product knowledge to architect skills in developing standards, governance, and infrastructure design.
Preferred Experience:
Candidate must have experience performing many of the following EA architect activities:
* Provide architecture support to the I.S. domain staff during all phases of the development process.
* Identify / resolve new requirements or guide the development of standards related to new technologies.
* Assist domain architects in creating logical and physical designs for specific application systems.
* Assist across various project initiatives to foster flexible, integrated services.
* Participate in the architecture governance and review process to ensure project adherence to established standards.
* Ensure project design artifacts are incorporated into Nissan’s enterprise architecture repository.
* Provide technical direction to 3rd party product support teams in order to ensure infrastructure stability and performance.
He/she must also possess the following specific skills in SharePoint:
* Infrastructure design and deployment of a large SharePoint (MOSS 2007) environment.
* Portal design including content management, team sites, master style sheets, multi-lingual, and enterprise search.
* Experience in designing and establishing standards for enterprise document management deployment including document types, metadata management, document policies, and records retention.
* Electronic forms and workflow using InfoPath, Workflow Foundation, and preferably K2 BlackPearl.
