As a preferred Microsoft Solutions Provider, BT BSG is seeking a Microsoft Business Productivity Solutions Specialist with demonstrated consultative skills to add to our growing solutions practice.
The Business Productivity Solutions Specialist (SSP) is responsible for developing business within the Business Productivity Solution (BPS) portfolio for their local regional operation (Southeast Operation).
The role will not have 100% billable utility target as this will largely be a pre-sales or sales support position. This role will support the account management team (sales force) by providing subject matter expertise (SME) in a sales capacity helping to drive business within the BPS/SDC portfolio. There is opportunity for billing during the initial phases of engagements and providing ongoing strategic consulting to customers in a trusted advisory capacity, however, the primary intent for the role is to transition delivery to the SDC enabling a continued focus on business development activities.
A qualified candidate will have a technical background and exceptional technical sales ability. The ideal candidate will have a strong senior level background in architecting and developing enterprise level solutions based on Microsoft platform
technologies such as SharePoint, Office System, .NET, etc. With that being said, a software development background is not necessarily a hard requirement for this role.
Job Role:
Supports pre-sales activities with BT customers and prospects, acting as a platform and services SME for Business Productivity and other Solution Development Center portfolio offerings

Continually develop and maintain adequate fluency with Microsoft technology stack & go-to-market strategy
Establish & maintain relationships with local Microsoft district representatives promoting the BPS & SDC capabilities of BT
Develops relationships with customers in a trusted advisory capacity and helps customers articulate value-added solutions that continually leverage their initial investments in the BPS platform
Proactively educates customers on new forthcoming Microsoft technologies that may present value to their business Evaluates and qualifies RFP’s from customers, and if prudent, takes the lead on developing the response
Actively pursues speaking/presenter roles in Microsoft sponsored regional events promoting BT and strengthening the Microsoft district relationship
Helps customers with strategy and planning to realize the ROI from customer’s investment in Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA), if applicable
Works with clients to develop and document solution vision, scope, and high-level architectural design
Participates in planning enterprise deployment of platform topologies and solutions
Coordinates and/or performs solution training with customers
Job Experience:
Minimum 5 years (8+ preferred) of hands-on solution analysis, architecture & development of enterprise-level solutions (global and/or multiple line-of-business)
Minimum 3 years in technical leadership role(s)
• Strong documentation skills (technical, business requirements, formal communications, SOW’s, proposals, etc.)
• Ability to envision and communicate solution; i.e. plan, design, implement, sustain, refine, and expand a solution
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle
• Proven experience in technology leadership roles
• Strong collaborative skills, ability to coordinate and work collaboratively with remote teams and individuals
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with ability to communicate at all organizational levels
• Strong meeting facilitation and formal presentation capabilities
• Dedicated focus to client relationship management
• Experience working under formal project management methodology

• Strong working knowledge of network layout and topology as required in typical tiered external web environments
• Experience architecting multi-server, multi-tier, enterprise level solutions
• Experience developing ASP .NET applications
• Experience with or possess working knowledge of Microsoft Security related technologies such as ISA and Active Directory
• Experience developing applications utilizing Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with or possess working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence solution technologies such as Reporting Services, Analysis Services or Performance Point Server is a plus
Education and Certifications:
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or 5 years IT experience
